And, decisions driven by perception happen very quickly - in about 3.5 seconds.

But, HOW can YOU "sell" yourself to someone with whom you want to do business BEFORE they decide that YOU are the Expert THEY want to "buy?"

To succeed in selling the idea of considering YOUR "stuff" versus THEIR "stuff," you have to create a stronger positive perception than your competitors, because ALL SALES ARE BASED ON EMOTION AND VESTED SELF INTEREST.

Basically, buyers decide that they LIKE one brand/company/person better than the others.  Then, the rest of the decision is based on WIIFM (What's In It For Me?)

The emotional keys are Trust and Way Cool - instant subconscious decisions that one person has more going for them than another, counter-balanced by gaining the perception that the offer is understandable - they Get It - and offers Value as noted in the Great Wheel of Marketing ®.

Then, getting and keeping the business is based on "paying off" the perception through getting and keeping significant positive Social Capital.  You have to have the key attributes of Social Capital.
